Payment Options at More Life Chiropractic

Getting Care Should Be the Easy Part

Nobody should have to decode a billing maze while their back hurts. At More Life Chiropractic, we keep the money side of care as clear as the clinical side: our team verifies your coverage before treatment begins, explains your options in plain language, and finds a path that works whether you carry great insurance, no insurance, or something in between. Here is how each option works at our Dunedin office.

Stiff mornings do not have to be your new normal.

No Insurance? No Problem

Plenty of our patients pay directly, and many find it simpler than dealing with a carrier. Our care plans and straightforward payment arrangements make quality chiropractic care affordable on a regular budget, with pricing you will know up front, never discover on a statement. If cost has been the reason you have put off treatment, call us first: (727) 330-6718. You may be surprised how workable it is.

Health Insurance

For patients with health coverage, we provide a superbill, an itemized receipt of your visits that you submit to your insurance company for reimbursement or credit toward your deductible. Our front desk will walk you through exactly how to use it, and we are glad to verify your plan’s chiropractic benefits before your first appointment so there are no surprises.

Auto Injury Coverage

If you were hurt in a crash, your care is typically paid through Florida’s Personal Injury Protection system, which applies no matter who caused the accident and whether you were the driver or a passenger. In most cases that means the treatment you need after a wreck, including whiplash evaluation and full auto injury care, costs you little or nothing out of pocket. All we need to get started is your claim number, your insurance details, and your attorney’s information if you have one. Remember Florida’s deadline: treatment must begin within 14 days of the accident to protect your benefits.

Work Injury Coverage

Injuries that happen on the job are paid through your employer’s workers compensation insurance, with authorized treatment covered at no cost to you. Our office handles work injuries  regularly, bills the carrier directly, and produces the documentation your claim depends on. Bring your claim number and your employer’s workers comp insurance information, and we will manage the rest, including the paperwork.

Medicare

Medicare Part B covers spinal adjustments performed by a chiropractor to correct subluxation when the care is medically necessary. Two honest details every Medicare patient should know before starting: Part B does not cover other chiropractic services or tests, including X ray imaging and spinal decompression therapy, and after you meet your Part B deductible, you pay 20 percent of the Medicare approved amount for covered adjustments. Our team will explain exactly what your visits will cost before care begins. Full details are at www.medicare.gov/coverage/chiropractic-services.

FSA & HSA Funds

Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Savings Accounts are two of the smartest ways to pay for chiropractic care, because both let you cover treatment with pretax dollars, effectively giving you a discount equal to your tax rate. Chiropractic visits are qualified medical expenses for both account types, and we accept FSA and HSA cards at the front desk.

A few things worth knowing about FSAs specifically. They are employer sponsored accounts funded from your paycheck before taxes, and most operate on a use it or lose it basis: funds left unspent at the end of the plan year are forfeited unless your employer offers a grace period or a small carryover. Contribution limits are set by the IRS and adjust annually, so check your plan documents for this year’s figure. HSAs, available with high deductible health plans, roll over year to year with no expiration, making them ideal for planning care.

Tips for getting the most from your account:

  • Estimate before you enroll — Tally your expected healthcare costs for the year, chiropractic visits included, so your FSA contribution matches what you will actually spend.
  • Spend down before the deadline — If December arrives with money still in your FSA, a wellness care visit or two is a productive way to use funds you would otherwise lose.
  • Keep your receipts — We provide detailed receipts for every payment, which your plan administrator may request for reimbursement or your records may need at tax time.
  • Ask us for help — Our front desk processes FSA and HSA payments every day and can answer most questions about using your account here.
